Rising Heat: Bosh to Join Forces with Wade in Miami
In a deal that broke first on ESPN, it looks as if Pat Riley's potential master plan is coming to fruition. Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will both sign with the Miami Heat, and both believe they have a real shot of getting the top prize: LeBron James.
While LeBron is not announcing his intentions until tomorrow night on ESPN at 9pm, Wade & Bosh decided to team up and begin bringing talent to South Beach and beginning the quest for a championship and bringing one seismic shift in the balance of power and also bringing a tough decision even tougher for LeBron.
LeBron has had many people trying to recruit him to many places, Wade & Bosh to Miami, Amar'e Stoudemire is trying to get him to come to New York and play for the Knicks, his good friend Jay-Z is trying to get him to come to New Jersey and play the Nets. As Thursday approaches, the city of Cleveland is on even sharper pins and needles as they desperately want him to remain at home in Northeast Ohio and be a Cavalier.
During an interview with Mike Wilbon on ESPN, Bosh & Wade both announced that they are going/staying in Miami, but neither mentioned what LeBron is going to do at least until the one-hour TV special. While Wade gave careful consideration to playing his hometown of Chicago and the Bulls great consideration, Wade realized he could not leave Miami.
Bosh, who can either get six years in a sign-and-trade via Toronto, or five years by signing as a free agent, made his decision first to Wade and LeBron, and both have said they would take less money in order to get James here, and maybe even some reliable veteran talent as well.
Many reports and rumors had Pat Riley coaching the Heat if Wade & Bosh (or the Super Trio if James signs), but Bosh has been told by Wade & Riley that current head coach Erik Spolestra has been and will continue to be the coach for the Heat.
The Heat are not fully confirming the reports, as they can not announce the signing until the Free Agency Moratorium is lifted on July 8th
