Suddenly, the team's offense lit up. A team that had only two players averaging more than eight points a game was getting offense from everywhere. The Wolverines had at least four different players score in double figures in each of their last two games, and a three game tear through the tournament - led by Nakayama's 18 points per game - gave them their first conference title.

The team will now advance to national tournament play. No, not the same March Madness you're thinking of, the Great West hasn't been around long enough for that just yet. Instead, it will be the Collegeinsider.com tournament for Utah Valley, which is still a postseason tournament and a few more games for the seniors.

Nakayama, along with leading scorer Julie Smith and a third senior, will be gone from the Wolverines roster after their tournament run finally ends, but if nothing else the end of this season leaves them with a great story to tell for the rest of their lives.
