Would you Vote for Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon for Senate?
While she is no longer the company's CEO, Linda McMahon and family have made their living on the extremely profitable and popular World Wrestling Entertainment.
McMahon is now focusing on a new career, however, running for Senate in Connecticut as a Republican. People with connections to sports run for office all the time, but McMahon, it would seem, was part of a company whose, shall we say, values, were a bit at odds with some of the social values of Republicans.
The WWE has been known for storylines that included a woman "accidentally" taking her top off during a live pay-per view event (with children in the audience), overly stereotypical depictions of homosexuals, Arabs and black people, to name a few, rampant steroid use and poon-tang pie. All tenets of Republicanism, to be sure.
McMahon, if successful in a primary, she'd run against incumbent (and vulnerable) Democrat Chris Dodd.
