More Droid 2 rumors have hit the net, though that's not news in and of itself. Photos have been up for a couple of days that are purported to have been culled from the official Droid Does website, and that's just the most recent leak.

But now there's yet another photo, this one from a packaging facility, that shows the new phone being readied for shipping, which looks to be right on time for the August 23rd launch date that's been rumored for a while.

The Droid 2, for those of you that don't follow Android and/or Motorola and/or Verizon rumors obsessively, supposedly has an improved keyboard over its predecessor, along with 512MB of RAM and a huge 8MB of ROM. It's powered by a 1 GHz proc, has a 5MP camera and is rumored to ship with an 8GB microSD card stock. Pricing is a rumored $199 with, or $599 without a contract.

Sweet specs, but you do have to deal with being a Verizon customer to take advantage of them.
