Samsung Galaxy S III Will Be Thinner, Launch in Spring 2012
We've seen a lot of stories about the next generation Samsung Galaxy III, the successor to the most popular Samsung device on the market. There were rumors we would get a chance to see this device at Mobile World Congress 2012, but that has been cancelled. The reasons for cancellation were cited as Samsung wanting to show the device closer to their approximate launch date, which may not be until summer 2012 for many countries
Now that we're getting half way through the first quarter of 2012, more rumors are circling the internet on when we'll get a chance to see what some are calling the 'iPhone killer'. I'll admit, I'm an Apple fan, but this device has got me interested. This time around, it may actually earn that title after so many other Android devices failed to attain it.

The latest to discuss the Galaxy S II comes from Electronic Times News, where they have stated that 'unnamed sources' are reporting that the Galaxy S III will launch in May 2012 rather than April. The Galaxy S III is also reported to have a much thinner casing at 7mm, where the Galaxy S II has an 8.49mm thickness. Other specs in the same report still show an 8 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, 2GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, Super AMOLED Plus HD display, and LTE connectivity. The device will be shipping with Android 4.0 ICS out of the box as well. Are you looking forward to Spring 2012 yet?
