Of course, the devil is in details, and the things I perceive as unique and non-obvious may not be the things about which Apple is suing.

Many business analysts have suggested that Apple is shaking down the competition for license fees or royalties. I don't think Apple will license these technologies. If Apple wins this suit, it will not result in license fees or royalties, just modified or withdrawn products.

In the end, I would like to see Apple compete by producing ever-better products, and while I don't want to see other companies like HTC or Google taking advantage of Apple's efforts, I don't see how this lawsuit does anything but tarnish Apple's image, win or lose.
