Apple's latest iOS 5.1 beta shows of a new piece of information revealing what type of processors the next generation of iPad and iPhone will have within. 9to5mac reports that the code shows a new reference called "/cores/core.3", where comparison sows that the code for the A5 dual-core chips is called "/cores/core.1" and the single core chips in older models is referenced as "cores/core.0". As seen in the images below, this makes a quad-core processor, possibly called the 'A6' a likely possibility for the iPad 3 and iPhone 5 both due out this year.
