Now Google Reader let you see the favicon of the website, that you subscribe.  A favicon is, for example, the little 'Green Icon' that displays next to the address bar when you're visiting Technorati.

It's a good thing to have because till now I was only able to see purple color boxes and adding favicon support for your subscriptions will make easy to identify the feed. Pictures are easier to remember.

Google Reader with Favicon

Recently, the Google Reader team asked users how they could make the RSS viewer better and one of the most popular suggestions was adding favicon support for subscriptions. Of course, not everyone likes being bombarded with the colored icons, so it's opt-in and not enabled by default.  You'll need to go to your Reader "Settings" page and check the box says "Show favicons for subscriptions".
