Rumor: Apple's iPad 3 Expected to Have Double Battery Life of the iPad 2
The next iPad to come from Cupertino based Apple headquarters is now said to have double the battery capacity from what we already have within the iPad 2.
DigiTimes reported that we'll be seeing two new iPad models in January at a Press Event, likely to be around the same time as the CES 2012 show in Las Vegas (as they will not be at CES, but they do like to steal the thunder at the same time it seems). Both of which will come with double the size of the current iPads with 2048 x 1536 pixel screens with dual-LED backlighting.
The new models will also carry within a 14,000 mAh battery, which will give twice the battery life than the iPad 2 with a 6,500 mAh battery. The iPad 2 currently gives anywhere between 10 - 12 hours of use on a single full charge, meaning we could see up to 25 hours of continuous use with the new models of iPads!
That is an amazing thing! The new 14,000mAh battery should also make its way into the next generation iPhone, which will likely be launched sometime in mid 2012.
