Having unwittingly decided that it wasn't enough alienate Sidekick owners by seemingly losing all their pictures and address books last month, T-Mobile dug a deeper hole for their reputation to finally rest in when they admitted late Tuesday that T-Mobile currently has voice and data outages across a measurable cross-section of their customer base. (T-Mobile claims 5% of its customers have been affected.)

The US cell provider arm of Deutsche Telekom AG managed to get back much of the lost Sidekick data as Microsoft (owners of the Sidekick hardware platform and cloud computing servers hosting said data) managed to recover much of the information many nervous days later.

However, their ability to get back customers in the US continues to be stunted despite joining in late last month on the "all you can eat" minutes and data plan bandwagon most American carriers now provide. You could categorize this as a call for help, but there's no guarantee this call will go through, either.
