When Do You Use Your iPad?

This morning, rushing to take my son to work, I sat at a light, quickly perusing my traffic app on my iPhone, making sure I would arrive on time. At the next light I gave a passing glance at my inbox to see if there were any immediate needs from family or friends. At the last light I glanced at the news app to make sure the world had been getting along without me and I didn’t need to collect my doomsday kit.

After taking off my taxi driver cap, I made a stop at the big box store to pick up things for our Boxes for Soldiers drive. Inside I used my Red Laser app to make sure I was getting the best prices. On my way out of the store I used my Starbucks app to pay for my sweet addiction. I was meeting a friend for lunch so pulled up the Urban Spoon app to find a quiet place we could go over our ministry notes. Later, as the afternoon wore on, I used four more apps to either read, catch up on family news, or play a couple of games while in line.

After plugging in my iPhone at the end of the day, I found myself on the couch, pulling my iPad from its perch under the coffee table. I could finally read those articles I had glanced over this morning. I opened up my newspaper app, taking my time to get deeper into the headlines that had caught my eye that morning. Noticing the latest edition of my monthly cooking magazine had arrived in my inbox, I made a mental note to check out the recipes before heading out the next morning.

Before bed, I read the latest download on my Nook app. Andy Andrews book, How Do You Kill 11 Million People? had me looking up several more items on the news app, thus keeping me awake for another hour at least.
