Although Microsoft claims that its spree of cutting down 5,000 jobs (about 5% of 96,000 employees worldwide) before June 2010 is over but there is a doubt on that.

Initially Microsoft decided to cut off 5,000 jobs and it was done already. Then why have another 800 employees across its operations worldwide have been laid off recently? If the figure of 5,000 was already achieved, what made such a big organized company to back off from their words and do further job cut?

And what is the surety that now the same will not be repeated again, with a new announcement that this is the last cut as per their initial plan, when they are already 800+ from their plan?
