Microsoft March Security Bulletin Released
Microsoft has released their March Security Bulletin, detailing current security issues in Microsoft products.

These security bulletins actually make really interesting reading for those of us who are curious about how hackers exploit software issues to gain control of computers or install malware.
For example, the current bulletin details vulnerabilities in both Windows Movie Maker (not to be confused with the Windows Live Movie Maker, available for Vista and Windows 7) and Office Excel that could allow hackers to execute remote code and gain the same user rights as the local user.
The bulletins also list an "Expoitability Index" that rates each vulnerability. Yeah, the entire thing reeks of geek, but that didn't stop me from spending some time reading through it.
Microsoft will host a webcast to address customer questions, today at 11 AM Pacific Time, for which you can register here. An archived version will be available for viewing if you can't make the show.
