Does a common man have a right to the news that is spread on the Internet? When he tries browsing through news by entering certain keywords in a search engine like Google, Google says it will connect a reader to the news world without charging a penny from him. But Microsoft has tied with Rupert Murdoch’s company News Corp to do the reverse.

News Corp will get paid by Microsoft for taking its news Web sites off Google, according to a source reported by the Financial Times. News Corp owns renowned papers like the Wall Street Journal and the Sun, not to mention much of Australia's media and Fox News.

Both News Corp and Microsoft are of the opinion that people should pay for accessing news Web sites. However, News Corp isn't the only company thinking that way.  The New York Times are also searching for ways to charge for news online, convinced that they must not give news away through search engines such as Google and Yahoo!.

Let us see now in this war of search engines – Google and Bing (from Microsoft) – who will be the ultimate winner.
