This latest installment in Don't Look Down—the online rooftop concert series produced by Pitchfork.tv—features indie rock up-and-comers Girls playing a surprisingly tight set. Girls' Album, released last month, is quickly becoming one of my favorite records of the year and this live performance might help them win over some new converts from folks who haven't yet checked out the LP.

The excellent recording quality reveals musical chops and subtleties that were buried in the original recordings and the band looks great playing on the sunny rooftop, a setting perfectly complementary to the grungy Beach Boys vibe of the songs. I know the Pitchfork brand still carries a bit of a stigma in some circles, but if you haven't caught on to their great video programming, you're missing out.
