Fisticuffs at the Tour de France
Who knew cycling could get this intense? Carlos Barredo and Rui Costa got into a a bit of a tussle last Friday after crossing the Stage 6 finish in the Tour de France. The fight was the result of a brief altercation that had taken place shortly before the finish. Costa allegedly elbowed Barredo nearly off his bike, prompting the aggrieved party to seek rubbery vengeance. Both cyclists were fined approximately $380 and will continue to participate in the race. Maybe this little grudge match will bring some much needed excitement to the world of post-Lance Armstrong professional cycling.
