John Terry, Wayne Bridge Narrowly Avoid World's Most Awkward Handshake
As scandals go, the love triangle between English soccer player Wayne Bridge, his former fiancee and fellow soccer player John Terry is about as tawdry as it gets.
Terry reportedly got Bridge's fiancee pregnant, then paid for the abortion, as any gentleman would, I guess. Predictably, this made things a bit awkward on the national team, leading to Bridge taking himself out of consideration for the World Cup team.
Well, the two met on the field for the first time since the incident, resulting in an awkward almost handshake. Can't say that anyone would blame Bridge for skipping that one.
