When I was growing up, the Karate Kid was a movie franchise that captured a fan-based that was worldwide. This summer, Sony Pictures is testing fate with a revival of the Karate Kid brand. This time around, however, it appears that the plot line is the same, just updated with better cinema photography and a hipper edge. Jackie Chan plays the Mr. Myagi role and Jaden Smith as Daniel LaRusso role.
