Nurse Jackie Season Two Premieres on Showtime
Nurse Jackie debuts tonight at 10:00 p.m. on Showtime. Though I've never really watched the show before, I'm tempted to give it a shot. I used to catch the first few minutes if I wasn't quick about changing the channel after Weeds, and while I never saw enough to get hooked, the trailer for the new season looks pretty good.
With Lost coming to an end in a few months and all my other favorite shows currently in limbo, Nurse Jackie might just fill the void. Along with Weeds and The United States of Tara, Showtime is cultivating a pretty interesting line-up of shows about female anti-heroes. It's an arena typically dominated by brooding men, and it's refreshing to see some smart, funny women get to chew on some dark and interesting roles for a change.
