Letterman's been getting all the good performances lately. Last night, Oklahoma-based psych-rockers The Flaming Lips joined the show for a noisy rendition of "See the Leaves" from their latest album Embryonic. The dark, nervy energy the band brought to their performance may have given some late-night viewers a bad trip, but to this fan it's just a sign of the band's striking return to form over the past year.
