The Social Network Gets Second Trailer
The PR machine for David Fincher's Facebook epic The Social Network rolls on. A second trailer for the film has been released, full of the same sort of over-the-top gravitas as the first. Maybe the tone of the film will be different? Satirical, maybe? But the publicity folks don't seem to realize how absurdly melodramatic this ad campaign looks. This time the trailer is lightened up a bit with a News Feed of quotes from the film, but mostly only serves to underscore how ridiculous this campaign of apocalyptic earnestness is.
