What Would Kanye Do?

What Would Kanye Do Photo We all either saw or heard about the Kanye West vs. Taylor Swift VMA drama.  I didn’t see the VMA’s myself, but watched the clip the next day.  Yes, I feel bad for poor Taylor (though it seems like the girl has made out just fine), but I have to admit something:  I have a little respect for Kanye.  I mean, what if we all had a little Kanye in us?  It made me think of the la te 90’s craze of W.W.J.D. (What Would Jesus Do?), but instead I thought What Would Kanye Do?

Now, before everyone gets mad at me I want to be clear: I am not saying I approve of Kanye’s method of sharing his opinions.  And, yes, I find him to be egotistical, self absorbed, and all around ridiculous.  However, I have to hand it to the guy…  He has passion.  He’s not going to back down to the man, even if that means getting kicked out of awards shows and probably never being allowed to speak on live television ever again.  As a much more censored “call it like I see it” kinda lady, I can freely admit life is easier when you try not to make waves.  I get it.  But, that doesn’t mean I like it.

What if we all spent a day living by the mantra W.W.K.D?  Would you finally say something to the kid who rides his bike over your neighbor’s lawn every day?  Would you tell that guy on the bus that he should get up for the elderly or pregnant woman standing in front of him?  Would you stand up to your way-too-forward boss and ask him to avert his eyes to your northern hemisphere?  Would you call out the mom on the playground who sits on her cell phone and screams her kids name over and over and over?  You would if you were living Kanye-style.
